Designed in 2006 the Cloud speaker is a 2.1 full range Bluetooth speaker system. The main acoustic volume is hand blown from glass. This unique material and manufacturing technique allows for an exploration into shapes that are not usually feasible with traditional speaker materials.
The aim is to produce a speaker that fits seamlessly into a contemporary interior environment. Styling and material reference was taken from other interior objects such as sculpture and glass/ceramic vases and lamps
We used premium materials in an effort to transition away from plastic ‘throw away’ electronic products. It’s a move back to the original electronic products made in from the 20’s and 30’s, that were build to last by furniture makers
